Gandhi Research Foundation, Jalgaon and Department of Sociology, Ajra Mahavidyalaya Ajara jointly organized Value Added Course on Gandhian Thoughts namely 'Gandhi Sanskar Exam'. 47 girls and 16 boys were enrolled in this course. After successfully completed of this course the students understand Gandhiji's life and thoughts on Hind- Swaraj, Satyagrah and Panchayat Raj.
A documentary film 'Parlingi' was screened on the occasion of International Transgender Day. Young director, writer and poet Mr. Suraj Madhale gave information about the Transgender people. He said that, the word Tritiyapanthi should be replaced by Parlingi in Marathi because it is inclusive.
A field visit was organized through the Department of Sociology. Hattiwade village has implemented many developmental activities. Due to this reason, many awards have been received by Maharashtra government. The visit was organized with the aim of informing the students about the activities in the village, the functioning and structure of Gram Panchayat.
The day 25th January' is celebrated as 'National Voter's Day' across the country. According to the Indian Constitution, India is a sovereign, socialist, secular, democratic, republican country. A quiz competition was organized to identify these values.
A lecture was organized on the occasion of 'World Human Rights Day' on 10th December. Prof. Mallikarjuna Shintre gave guidance on 'Human Rights and Indian Constitution'. It talks about how the Constitution protects human rights. He also answered the questions of the students.
Department of Sociology was organized a poster exhibition and lecture on the occasion of 'Constitution Day' on 26th November. Dr. Anand Ballal delivered a lecture on 'Indian Constitution and Social Justice'. Posters were also displayed on constitutional values. An oath was taken to remain loyal to the constitutional values.
Department of Sociology, a visit was made to Ramtirtha, a famous tourist spot in Ajara taluka. Cleaned the temple premises and collected plastic. Appealed to the tourists about the cleanliness of the area.
Former President of India Bharat Ratna Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam's birthday, October 15, is celebrated as Vachan Prerna Din (Reading Inspiration Day). He dreamed of India becoming a superpower. He said that this dream can be fulfilled only through education. On the occasion of Vachan Prerna Day, Dr. Kalam's Agnipankh book was read collectively. Along with this, 50 books on Babasaheb Ambedkar, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Mahatma Phule, Shahu Maharaj, Savitribai Phule were gifted to the students.
