Department of Sociology organized remedial coaching classes for Slow learners since last two years. Remedial coaching classes helped slow learners improve their academic performance. They understand difficult concepts better.
With individualized attention and a
supportive learning environment, slow learners seem to begin to gain confidence
in their ability to succeed academically. Overall, remedial
coaching classes for slow learners play an important role in supporting
academic success, building confidence and fostering a positive attitude towards
learning.
Faculty
members contacted regularly with the students and during the class hours
identifies the slow learners by interaction and classroom performance with
them. During the course of time, a systematic evaluation process is used to
assess the learning levels of the students. This evaluation process consists of
written examination through open book test
group discussion and presentation, written
assignment, test and class performance.
